What you'll do
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently
- Review and verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications
- Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage
- Maintain and update patient medication records and documentation
- Manage inventory of medicines, consumables, and pharmacy supplies
- Ensure safe storage, handling, and disposal of drugs per regulatory guidelines
- Maintain controlled drug registers per statutory compliance
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on treatment plans and prescriptions
- Keep the pharmacy well-stocked and compliant
- Oversee pharmacy technicians/support staff and maintain SOPs, cleanliness, and safety
- Handle the closing shift (up to 11 PM) and ensure professional, efficient service
What you bring (required)
- Hands-on experience as a pharmacist or pharmacy assistant in retail or hospital pharmacy
- Strong knowledge of drug compositions, dosage, interactions, and regulatory compliance
- Accurate dispensing and prescription verification with strong attention to detail
- Excellent patient-counselling and customer-service skills
- Currently a resident of Davangere
- Able to work the closing shift up to 11 PM
Preferred (not mandatory)
- Registered pharmacist
- Diploma / Bachelor's in Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm)
- Valid Pharmacy License / Registration with the State Pharmacy Council
